25 Days of Christmas: Day 18

Day 18: World Vision Gifts

Our family sponsors a child from the World Vision Organization, so it seemed only natural that one of our Advent activities would be to purchase something from the World Vision Gift Catalog. Since McKinley LOVES animals, we decided we would let her choose which animals to gift.

She loved looking at all the animals online...

In the end she/we chose to give the gift of 5 ducks. Who knew that ducks can be so valuable to a family!?! They will provide the family with tons of eggs and their down feathers and hatched ducklings can be sold at market to help make extra money.

Day 15: Treats for the Birds

We made treats for the birds using this recipe. I actually quadrupled the recipe to make all four of our edible treats.

Of course we couldn't finish make treats for the birds with out trying some ourselves!

The final product. Now they dry overnight before we can hang outside.

They are ready! Time to hang the treats.

Day 14: Treats for Daddy

For this Advent activity, I made yummy Buckeye Brownies. McKinley delivered them to her Daddy's office so he and all his co-workers could enjoy a little Christmas treat.
