This past weekend, Nashville received about 4 inches of snow. The weather people did a great job of warning everyone of what was to come, so the Organ Family was prepared for this scarcely known white substance called snow. I had grocery shopped on Wednesday, we had plenty of movies from the library, and Mike & I rode to work together Friday morning. The storm hit mid morning Friday and by the time we both got off work at 2:00pm it already looked like a winter wonderland. The meteorologist were reporting the snow to continue through the next morning, so we headed home, put our jammies on and that is were we stayed for the next 64 hours.
At first, Martini wasn't a big fan of the snow. I actually had to get the shovel out early Saturday morning and uncover 2 patches of grass so she could relieve herself. But once we headed outside to go sledding she actually started to enjoy it. She loved chasing us down the hill while we were sledding and then racing us back up to the top. She also loved eating the snow & ice. She actually loved eating it so much that she threw up! I equated it to a child being so excited and eating too much candy & junk food at a carnival or fair and getting sick afterwards:) That was probably too much information, but I figure that parents write the same kind of things about their 2 legged children, so I should have a pass.

I love how many (post-college) people I know got out and had fun sledding and playing in the snow even when they didn't have children to encourage them to go outside and play.
Thanks for sharing.....what a wonderful 64 hour lock-in! Fun, fun!!!
Michele, if you want to know how to remove the borders from your pictures, look here. http://livingthefifties.blogspot.com/2010/02/notice-anything-different.html
When you link to her blog about it, follow step (B)(ii). It takes about thirty seconds. She says "edit Template". On my screen it was "edit HTML" but that was the only difference.
Hooray! (Little things excite me.)
Of course, if you like your borders, never mind!
