Sisterly Love

“Having a sister is like having a best friend you can’t get rid of. You know whatever you do, they’ll still be there.” ~ Amy Li

“I smile because you’re my sister. I laugh because there’s nothing you can do about it!” ~Unknown

“Sisters – the ones you can get mad at only for a short period because you have important stuff to tell them.” ~Unknown

“A sister is a gift to the heart, a friend to the spirit, a golden thread to the meaning of life.” ~ Isadora James

“If you don’t understand how a woman could both love her sister dearly and want to wring her neck at the same time, then you were probably an only child.” ~ Linda Sunshine

"A sister is someone who listens when you talk, laughs when you laugh and holds your hand when you cry." ~Unknown

Welcome Home Mia

Mia's home coming was quiet and uneventful. It was so nice to be able to leave the hospital with our new little girl and head home to see her big sister and the rest of the family that was waiting on us.

We spent the next few days settling in and adjusting to life as a family of four. Thankfully we had lots of help during this transition!

We are extremely blessed by all the loving family and friends that thought of us during this very special time in our lives. All the calls, texts, gifts, meals and support are greatly appreciated!
It truly does take a village!

The Many Faces of Mia Elizabeth

How can you not love this face/faces!?!

Big Sis Meets Little Sis

On June 13th, McKinley got to meet her new little sister for the very first time. I am not going to say anything else about this precious first meeting because the pictures say it all!

Introducing Mia Elizabeth- The Birth

On June 12, 2013 Mike and I welcomed another little girl into this world and our sweet little family of three grew to be an even sweeter family of four.

Everyone patiently waiting for baby Mia to arrive.

Our little photographer and her sidekick.

To pass time we were placing bets on whether the baby would be a girl or boy.

It is 1:15pm and time to start pushing!

15 minutes later Mia Elizabeth entered the world at 1:32pm. (It was hectic and 1:35 on the clock was the best/quickest picture we could get)

8lbs. 7oz of pure joy!

We were lucky not only to have Dr. Saig deliver both McKinley and Mia, but we also had the same nurse for the delivery of both of our girls.

Taking a moment to announce Mia's arrival to the world.

What a long day, but this was definitely worth every second!
