T-Ball

I can't believe it has been almost a month since my last post. There has been a lot going on in the Organ household. It seems like we are constantly busy, but no matter how hard I try to remember, I can't tell you exactly what we have been busy with:)

A couple weeks ago we headed out to Mt. Juliet to spend an evening with Mike's family. We had a great time. First we grilled out at Phil & Amy's, then we loaded in the cars and headed for Easton's T-Ball game. Let me tell you, there is nothing funnier that watching a bunch of 5 year old boys playing T-Ball. Here are a few things that I learned:

When your team is up to bat:
1. When you step up to bat you must turn around and inform all the spectators (aka parents) "Hey everyone, cheer for me." Thanks E. for demonstrating so well:)
2. Once you hit the ball you stand there and watch all the boys on the field scramble to get the ball (there is no such thing as dropping the bat and running to first base).
3. It is a necessity that no matter where the ball is (even if it is still in the outfield) you MUST slide into home plate.

When your team is on the field:
1. Dancing in the outfield is a must!
2. Drawing figures in the dirt is a must!
3. Running all the way from 3rd base to Right out field to get the ball is a must!

What a great night!

Here a few pictures from the night (sorry they were all taken during his warm up practice. Once the game started in was too dark and the pictures came out blurry):

Hopefully I will have a few more posts up within the next few days. I have a boot camp update in the works and I also have an exciting announcement! And NO, we are not pregnant.

Fitness Boot Camp

Well, it's official, I just signed up for my first ever Fitness Boot Camp. I'm really excited! I have been wanting to start a work out routine, but I have a hard time motivating myself to workout especially when it seems to take forever to see results.

I was talking with a friend and we decided we wanted to take a Zumba class. We thought it would be fun and something different. With her work schedule we either needed a class early in the morning or later in the evening. After searching one afternoon I wasn't having any luck finding a Zumba class that would work with our schedules, but the one thing I kept coming across were early morning Fitness Boot Camps.

After reading about fitness boot camps I knew this would be perfect workout for me. I discussed it with my friend and we decided to sign up for Niki G Fitness Boot Camp. The program is 4 weeks with 1 hour workouts on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday. We meet at 5:15am (yikes!) at a local park. Everything is provided: water, towels, yoga mats, weights.

10 DAYS TILL BOOT CAMP!
I'll let you know how it goes:)

Blog Stalkers

I have a confession to make...I am a blog stalker! It is amazing how long I can sit in front of the computer and jump from one blog to the next (my husband does not understand this what so ever!). The most exciting part for me is when I randomly run across some one's blog that I know.

Not only do I love getting to catch up on every one's family life, but I also love hearing about every one's "favorites"(websites, grocery stores, restaurants, books, movies, etc.), fun creative projects, parenting dilemmas & ideas...you get the picture. I have actually been working on a household project that I came across on some one else's blog. Hopefully I will be blogging about in one of my next posts.

I would love to find out who all checks our blog and keeps up with our family. So leave me a comment so I know who is checking up on us. And since I'm such a blog-a-holic, let me know if you have a blog. I would love to check it out. (I know some of you have had problems leaving comments on our blog, I'm not sure why that happens, but if you do email me instead mnorgan@comcast.net)

Also, I want to take this moment to apologize for any grammar, spelling, or punctuation mistakes that may be found in the Organ Family Blog. While my Father-in-law & Mother-in-law are English professors and my husband has a minor in English, I am only a massage therapist with no grammar skills what-so-ever:)

Atlanta

A couple of weekends ago Mike & I headed to Atlanta to have a nice weekend away. Our main reason for going to Atlanta was to watch the Cirque du Soleil show, Kooza but we also celebrated my birthday.

While in Atlanta ate at some great restaurants. The one I have to recommend is The Flying Biscuit. I would say it is Atlanta's equivalent to the Pancake Pantry, but in our opinion better (sorry to all you Pantry lover's). If you ever eat there you have to try their oatmeal pancakes, they are to die for!

After dinner Friday night we watched Slumdog Millionaire (Amazing Movie!). Then Saturday we explored the Atlanta Aquarium, shopped at Ikea, & saw Kooza.

Here are a few pictures from our time at the Aquarium:

Mike petting a Hammerhead Shark...gross!

Beluga Whale

Whale Sharks & Manta Ray. This picture doesn't do their size justice. They are enormous!

The next 3 pictures are of Mike and a huge grouper:

Jellyfish

The next 4 pictures are of Black Tip Reef Sharks, which Mike say are the meanest sharks out there. While we were in the viewing room one of them attacked a blue tang (Dori for all of you Finding Nemo fans). So of course Mike thought it was really cool, and he snapped a whole series of pictures (I have only posted a couple). The last picture is what remained of "Dori" after the shark was finished. The one thing I found funny about the whole situation was sitting in a room full of children while this happened. The looks on their faces and the sounds coming out of their mouths made me laugh:) I am just glad I wasn't one of the parents that had to explain the circle of life to their child while leaving the viewing room. Enjoy...

Before we left to go see Kooza.
What a great weekend. Thanks to Grandma Organ for staying at the house with Martini so Mike & I could enjoy a nice weekend alone!

Happy Birthday Easton!

Okay, so I am playing catch up. A few weeks ago our nephew, Easton Cole, celebrated his 5th birthday. I can't believe he is 5 years old! Here are a few pictures from that morning...

E., we're glad you had such a fun birthday!

A Big Thanks!

Yesterday I turned 28. Thank you to everyone for making my birthday such a special day! I really appreciate all the phone calls, cards, emails, & facebook messages:) It reminds me how truly blessed I am to have so many wonderful people in my life.

I wanted to share a card that was hand delivered to me last night. It is from two special little guys and went immediately up on the fridge.

Thanks Wyatt & Cody!

Thanks Everyone!

Slumdog Millionaire

If you haven't seen Slumdog Millionaire...go see it!!! It is 12:45 am on Saturday morning and Mike & I just got back to our hotel after seeing this movie. I had to take a few minutes to rave about this movie before I crash for the night. What a great film!
