25 Days of Christmas: Day 25

Day 25: Christmas Day

We had a wonderful Christmas this year! Fun time spent with family, great food, wonderful gifts and the best part of the whole day was the 6 inches of snow that fell on Christmas night! Here is a (rather long) recap of Christmas Day 2012. I will go ahead and apologize for all the pictures of McKinley:)

Christmas Morning 2012

McKinley loved opening her gifts!

McKinley peeking and trying to figure out exactly what was in the box...

It was a shopping cart!

Family Photo Time...

Time to open some more gifts!

Kyle and Mary K

Dad opening his Duck Commander Duck Call.

Mike holding our "Date Night" gift. It was filled with a dinner gift certificate, movie gift certificates & a babysitting voucher. Best gift ever!

Kyle & Mary K made this plaque for BJ. On the leaves are all the names of her students from her 1st year of teaching.

Mom showing off  her new window art.

McKinley was not happy about posing for this picture...
She would have rather been coloring.

Shopping Cart #2

Another addition to her Barbie Collection

The next two pictures are of a brand new Christmas family tradition. My Dad made this Christmas Tree Growth Chart. Each Christmas the Grandchildren will stand against the tree and have their height marked. We will then be able to see how they have grown throughout the years! Love it!!!

Kyle was the big winner this year! He found the hidden pickle!

25 Days of Christmas: Day 24

Day 24: Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve started out with breakfast at IHOP while Daddy played golf. McKinley was obviously excited:)

We always joke that the only Christmas tradition my immediate family has is the tradition of always starting new traditions. So this years new tradition was sushi for Christmas Eve dinner. It also happened to be McKinley's first time to try sushi...

...and she loved it! She ate every bit that was put in front of her.

Time to open a few gifts!

Almost bed time:)

25 Days of Christmas: Day 23

Day 23: Cookies for Santa

McKinley loved making cookies for Santa! A huge thanks to Aunt BJ for being McKinley's little baking assistant:)

Of course you can't make cookies without eating some of the cookie dough or in this case a whole fist full!

McKinley's cookies are the ones on the right side of the cookie sheet. At one time they were cute little Christmas shapes, but apparently she didn't get the memo about carefully placing them on the baking sheet. So instead she squished them in her fist and piled them on top of one another. Hence the big blog of cookie.

Time to decorate!!!!

Time to eat!!!!
